I am planning to rebuild the front suspension on my 69 GTX this summer. While searching for parts I have notice some companies have listed "optional" tie rods and adjusting sleeves that are 11/16" instead of the stock 9/16" size. Does anyone have any pros or cons for switching to the larger size components?

better steering stability.you would only notice it if you drive very hard or road race the car.

Go down to the local parts house and ask for the tie rods and sleeves for a 69 Imperial (any c body really) and the price for the tie rods is about 10-15 bucks each and either get the sleeves there or get some solid sleeves from any vendor on here (about 60 bucks for both) and your set.

On rockauto the smaller tie rod end MOOG Part # ES319L cost 35.00 and the larger c-body tie rod end MOOG Part # ES355RL cost 15.00. I used the larger tie rod ends on my 66 belvedere just because the money was the about the same but looks like they may be cheaper.

When you are ready to rebuild your front end, we do offer our front end kits with either option 9/16" or 11/16" and it is not an additional charge. This is something you may want to consider.

Thanks
James
