Does the time delay relay on a 1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite need to be grounded?

All things need a complete circuit some use the load from item being operated
but grounding cannot hurt

Thank you for the info. The reason I was wondering is two fold. One, there are retainer brackets in the dash frame for other modules, but I could not see one for the time delay relay module. Two, the time delay relay module tends to get fairly warm when you're running the car.

Which time delay are you dealing with? A/C heater?

The time delay module has a wire going to the fuse box, one wire going to the ignition switch light, and one going to the main harness (?).

I believe that circuit is grounded by a ground in the wire harness. The body of the unit is not grounded it self as far as I remember. Ron

Ground is provided through the door pin switch when the door is opened. As mentioned, should only generate heat while door is open.
