Timing 70 383

So I took the car to the shop today and got the timing and carb. set on it. It needed it since I had put a new carb. and dist. in it. I know it helped power wise and I hope it helps on the gas milage. So what has every one else done since the weather has cooled down some? i couldn't do any thing all summer because of the heat we have had the last 2 1/2 months. Ronnie in Okla

I never mess with timing for weather swings. Colder air should be more dense(oxygen rich) and make the car perform a bit better than hot air.
