Tire fitment - 68 Coronet

Hey guys,

Got a question about rear tire fitment on a '68 Coronet. I am sold on using the Torq-Thrust 15" x 8 1/2" wheel on the rear. Backspace is only 3.8". I know that many folks run a 255 or 275 wide tire with no rubbing issues. But usually they have backspace closer to 4.5".

Anybody out there running 3.8" backspace with no rubbing issues? Thanks!

Absolutely ! Plenty of clearance ... I really think you could run 315 but wheel would need to be perfect ... these cars have huge rear wheel wells
