Getting ready to have my gauge cluster done, have found several places to do this
but some will use the vinyl overlays and some will silkscreen. I know that it is my car so i can do what I want but would like some advice on what looks the best and will stand up.
I have a 69 Coronet rally dash and looking for that factory look.
Appreciate any input Thank You dcmason69

Factory was silk screened... And it's definitely better... The decals certainly look better than old yellowed gauges but if you look close you can tell it's decals & not like OE..

Yes 1 wild ride, that is what i am thinking. Was looking at Steve Cutler but sounds like he uses transfers, what is your thought on D and M in SC. Not ready to go to instrument spec's

Tell me which process this is... :)

Try Auto Instruments. Great work, very meticulous and a hell of a lot less $$$ than I.S.

dadsbee I would say that that is silk but that is why I am asking, I see you are very
knowladgable on these cars and would like your advice. Where did you have yours done at.?
Thank You dcmason69

I just took this picture of mine without lenses in place, it's the vinyl overlay. I'm happy with it.

Looking at cluster I can see a blue High beam lens ( nice touch for a blue car ) also
voltmeter replacement looks very nice

Why I posted it up... I restored it, they are labels! The "trick" is finding the correct shade of paint to use to match them perfectly, which took me about 14 different cans.

Ok will look at Auto Instruments also thank you QOTHL

They do a lot more than silk screen the gauges, they polish the lenses and rechrome the switches as well as restore the gauges.

Giving it up for the day
