car is a 65 satellite with hot 383,s.s. springs,3.55 suregrip, with pin. snubber set 1 in off floor. mucho tire spin( she's moving, but no bite) rear shock length is 20 in. center to center with full weight of car on them. i removed one to measure fully extended length which is 22.5 in. center to center. Would longer shocks help me get better body/axle seperation & improve traction ? if so, what length/application should i use? thanks

I use Monroe gas shocks most of the time. Whatever you buy, get them for a station wagon. They're longerwagon

You didn't mention what size or brand of tires you're running. Are you talking extensive wheel spin light to light or is this a little weekend warrior bracket racing?
