torq converter swap

hi,i want put a 383 in my 64 belvedere with a 65 727 auto trans,they have a19 spline input shaft,i want to keep my car with push button ,can i buit a hi-stall torq with the stock torq or is better to converted the trans with a late model (67 AND UP) torq.,someone know the trick how to do the modification,thank you

you can change the input shaft on the transmission from 19 spline to 23 spline or you can just put a 19 spline converter in it. I have a 19 spline hughes 3000 converter that I never used its new in the box. cost me $426 plus shipping make me a reasonable offer and its yours
