What kind of problems will a stock torque converter do to engine when they ain't working right

Worse case is they Balloon shoving the crank ahead screwing up the thrust bearing, crank and block. More typical in a High hp higher then stock stall.
If something has come loose inside they can kill the engine at low speeds, likely noticable when first put in gear. A vibration or noise is a sign.
Slipping is probably the most common when the converter goes south.
A lot of times convertors get blamed for low idle problems when put in gear with a upgraded cam..when it's a carb or vacuum issue.

Had the stater go bad in one.
Car wouldn't idle in gear and stall. I should say shut off when dropping it into gear.
BUT it was a custom built converter. Usually factory stock Mopar converters rarely go bad.

Thanks everyone mine is going dead when put in gear and running like crap at idle speeds
