Got a TC from the guy that built my motor. When i went to line up the flex plate the holes were way off My flex plate measures 11 inches across and the holes on the TC are 10 inches. Was told i could get a smaller flex plate but the ring gear diameter on my stock one is 13 inches and this one is about 12 inches. I don't think the starter drive would be able to engage to turn over the motor. The TC is a dynamax. The numbers that are stamped on it are 492, 0999, and 0444. Was told by a tech guy at precision converters that it is a 2500 high stall converter. Does anyone here know if that sounds about right. My motor is a 383 not stock. FYI, the new TC measures the same as a stock smallblock TC that i have. If this won't work on my motor, it will be up for sale.

If the starter will not engage it, that pretty much kills it right there.
