Anyone know what the torque spec is?
Gonna do the rear main seal this week.

i have a leaky rear main also. are you going to do it with the engine in? P.S. the rear crankshaft seal retainer torque is 30 ft. lbs. :)

Perfect. Thank you. I am going to do it with the engine in but I have access to a lift. Shouldn't be too bad. I'll let you know how it goes.

I am pretty sure that you will also need to remove the rear main bearing cap, to get to the seal retainer unbolted and out. And it seems that main cap torque is 100 ft lbs.

i just redid my rear main seal with the engine in, i did nto have to remove the rear main bearing cap on the seal holder, my car also has a tubular front end so no torsion bars or rack to interfere, which i think you might have to lift the engine slightly to get the pan off.

also i used the mancini billet cap with the o-rings and i highly recommend it.
also if your engine uses main studs and you use a aftermaket cap you have to notch it slightly as the dtuds hit and put the cap off centre which causes a leak
