When installing new torsion bars (vehicle off ground) what position should my lower control arm adjusters be? I’ve read half way between the furthest it can go up and half way between bottom out. Correct or nah?

You'll need them all the way out to install the bars. Not completely out of the blocks but far enough that they completely disengage the T-bar pivot.

In both of your photos the pivot is in the wrong position on the t-bar. The ball socket has to be rotated down. Pull the t-bar out and rotate the pivot downwards.
