Hi all, installed my freshly painted torsion bars last night but realised later that I forgot to grease the LCA socket on the right hand bar (I was rushing as my wife was about to call everyone for dinner and I was getting bitten by mozzies...).
Is the grease only required to aid removal at a later date or is it required for the bars to function properly? I'm thinking it's only to prevent rust but am not sure. If that's the case I might be able to spray something in there.
If it does have to come out again I haven't got a tool to get the bar out so will have to make something (I've seen a few ideas from other people).
What are everyone's thoughts?
Thanks

I would not worry about it. If grease mattered on that end of the torsion bar they would have designed a boot to seal it.

I've removed many bars that appeared to have never had grease on them. For me it is to help remove later and prevent rust seizure. Since you just put them in it shouldn't be so hard to remove.........unless it went in hard!
