torsion bar ?

Hi all I was wandering if any1 knows if there is a differents between a 1972 charger torsion bar an a 1973 torsion bar cause I just placed an order for some torsion bar from P-s-t which I guy that took my order said they don't have 73 charger torsion bars an didn't know anything about the new 1s. Im hopein that the 72s will fit. sorry if this is a repeat on the same ? but I went through the pgs that the search gave me an didn't c anything about 72 an 73's torsion bars being the same

73+ bbody torsion bars are a couple inches longer and have thier own ISO cross member anchor

However... the holes in the trans cross member the 73+ torsion bars go through to the ISO anchor ARE the right size to weld in the anchors to (YES I have measured and taken pix) however I had NOT measured for bar length.

Point is you may be able to weld in anchors and use the shorter 72- bbody torsion bars in the trans cross member. Other member may have considered this and tried it so hopefully they can chim in with thier measurments or experiece

Here's what I mean about the torsion bar going through the trans cross member and into the ISO torsion bar cross member... Now I placed a tortion bar anchor into the hole in the trans cross member just to see if it's possible and it fit nicely. Unfortunately at the time I did not measure ti see if using the shorter 72 down was possible...I'm sure I can take a measurement in the next couple days after the rain stops, if anyone is interested

1962-72 B bodies used the same length torsion bar. If you have a 73, your options are limited.
