Can anyone advise whats the stock RPM is for the converter in a 727 tranny its a a 69 charger RT 440 engine

Stall speed? I would speculate around 1800 rpm +/-. It’s not going to be a precise figure in actual service although there may be a Chrysler table of rated stall speeds somewhere.

Great thanks i had the car out today for like the first time since i have it, The car sat 30 years and when i drove it the engine rpm would go up high and then the tranny kick in i believe it has a B&M 3500 stahl speed in it, then the tranny started smoking real bad i shut it down and towed it home now it won't move and the fluid is low. Is there a modulator valve on the 727 that could clog? Car was sitting a long time i just hope i don't need a full rebuild. Anything i can try before towing it to a shop?

After sitting that long it prob was low on trans fluid. It does not take long on most of these 727s for the converter to drain back into the pan over filling it.
If your shift lever seal , dip stick tube o ring ect. Is not good it will loose fluid sitting.
There is no modulator valve on these similar to a Gm trans.
What I would check is 1st smell the fluid if it has a burnt odor do a fluid and filter change.
Also pop a new o ring on the dip stick tube.
Wipe everything down good and clean up any fluid. Refill the trans at idle in neutral leave it aprox 1 pt. Low on the stick as it will expand at operating temp.
While it's running look around for leaks if nothing's running out on the floor try another test drive.
Re check your fluid level once its warmed up. Ck in neutral and running.

A 3500 rpm Stall convertor is not for the street. More to the story...
After a 30 year sleep, you need a lot more car systems to take care of, like All fluids. oil, Brakes, coolant, transmission. power steering and the complete fuel system from the tank forward. incl all filters too long to list.. Safety first these cars were not designed to be parked.
All the seals, bearings, hoses, belts, hard lines all deteriorate with time, even if you don't use them they go bad. Tires are a great example.

It does have a burnt smell to it i hope i didn't damage it by driving. How many hurts does it take ? I can never drain the converter unless i have a machine hooked up to it right? wheres a good place to get the filter just on line? When i got it i did the brake lines, master cylinder new fluid radiator hoses heater hoses water pump, thermostat , rebuilt carb oil filter i did all that before starting it

I disagree. Depends on how the converter is built. It does sound like the transmission has issues?
The '71 Charger has a custom built 9" Ultimate Converter by Lenny Croteau. I told him my setup, and is mostly street driven so I wanted a "tight" converter that does not flash to stall speed unless your really on the throttle. Converter flash stalls to 5,000 at full throttle from a stop, but when street driving, there is very little converter slip. On the other hand the converter was > $1,000

It sounds like you tried to drive it before the drained back torque converter refilled. This always results in slippage, and you might have cooked some clutches. On another note, Chrysler never put a higher stall converter in their 440-powered musclecars, like they did behind Hemi's and 383 HP, figuring they made so much low end torque there was no need.

Its a B&M converter 3500 it was smoking pretty bad does it make sense to drain and put a new filter in or is that a waste of time, The car doesn't move at all when in any gears or reverse. Maybe just take it to the shop? Curious How many quarts does it take 8 or 9?.
