Is the A-833 the only 4 speed manual transmission that Mopars were offered with? If so, what was the transmissions' gear ratio in a 1971 Dodge Charger?

Starting in 1964 yes. The only 4 speed offered was a New Process A-833, of which there were several variations. As far as ratios goes....

Thank you

Oh, thanks. For a minute I thought that I would have to look like crazy to find the right one. I had been looking for a more than decent mopar for years and about a month ago, I came across the '71 Dodge Charger that I now own. This is my very first car. About 57k miles on it, a 318 v-8, a 727 auto tranny on the column, and a 8 1/4" standard differential. The previous owner had updated it by putting in disc brakes up front, a cd/radio player, pioneer speakers, an edelbrock cam, an edelbrock 500 cfm electric choke carb, an edelbrock intake manifold, flowmaster piping, and even threw in a set of hedman headers that I can install on my own. That's about $2000 worth of parts right there. Plus, another one of the previous owners had updated the car with a stiffer suspention and a royal, sapphire blue paint job. According to the blue books, my car is currently worth about $8500. I got it for $6500. I do plan to finish cloning this thing into the R/T, but I also plan to modernize it at the same time. Things like aftermarket gauges that would fit in an original R/T gauge cluster or a 360 magnum engine that has been bored and stroked into a 383 small block or even a plug n play, fuel injected carb from fuelairspark.com. The first thing I will change is the differential. I plan to put in an 8 3/4" differential with a ratio of about 3.23 or 3.55 with positraction. What do you think?
