Trunk bumpers

Well started to install the body bumper kit.Ran into a snag the trunk bumpers dont want to go in the hole any tricks how to,or am i useing the wrong bumpers.MY pic are bad i know.

Best way if you can reach the backside and pull the tit on the end through the hole.
If not wd40 and twist it in

If they have a small hole in the center, you can use a small dull pointed object, like a worn scratch awl and gently push it through the rubber while in the hole. It streches the pointed end of the rubber. You have to be careful not to tear it or punch through.

the think that gets me that tit fit but the fat end is big me thinks it too big to push into the small hole.and theres no way to reach throw and pull it.

I like a silicone grease. NAPA has it in tubes.

You can always snip/trim some rubber off around the circumference of the big part so there's a little less to push through, won't hurt a thing...just don't remove so much material that it pulls out easily.

Try liquid soap and turning while pushing it in. Is the area freshly painted and made hole smaller. Can you get away with enlarging the hole a little.

Just keep in mind, if you enlarge the hole in the sheet metal, the bumper won't be held in as securely...you want that part tight once the bumper is in all the way past the barb
