Trunk light location?

I was wondering if someone could post a pic of the proper location of the light fixture, not the switch, for a '69 Sport Satellite/GTX? I can't seem to find info anywhere that shows the location of the bulb.

if its anything like my 70 RR....it mounts under the package tray near the trunk torsion bars kinda in the middle:headbang:. im not sure about the 69's...since nobody was chiming in to help ya!

Ah, it is indeed on that frame, off to the left. Yeah that's where I guessed and put it, too. I was scratchin my head as to why it wasn't centered.

Yeah it was, and I'm assuming my car used to have it, as it came with the light package.

Another question to add to the mix if 696969 don't mind.....Where does one find the activating switch that mounts in the tab off the left upper trunk gutter? Can a door switch be used?

Seems like a pretty universal door switch to me.

Here is where my light and i think where the switch is s'posed to be mounted on my RR. The wire feeds down the side of the trunk lid and comes out by the hinge. Don't know if this is correct but that has been there since i've had the car.

That tab for the switch is supposed to be horizontal, looks like someone bent it down . My light is where 69hemibeep's is

Could this be one of those deals where the assembly line just put it wherever they thought best at the time? I'll have to check mine tomorrow and see if there is a hole under my gutter for the light.

I will go look at mine this afternoon and let you know. The light is not mounted on the trunk lid. It is up by the switch tab. The switch looks like a door jam switch.

I looked at mine yesterday and there is a hole where a screw might go in under the package tray, so apparently someone moved mine to the trunk lid b4 i got the car.
