Trunk lock

I bought a trunk lock. It came with all these extra rods. The one that is on there works but is too long. There are others that have slight bends in them. It's a universal kit, so is it cut to fit or a shorter rod for anti rattle?
Which one is correct for a 69 Bee?

I just went through this. I swapped the one that was installed from the manufacturer with one in the kit.

 

[5.7 hemi]

It's no biggie when they stick out a tad bit, you can't see them and are not in the way.
