Do I need a lower stall converter,
or can the 2-3 shift be
dialed in?
When building the chassis,
much of the weight was
guesswork and a torque
converter was purchased
to those numbers. It's
stall (advertised) is 2800
rpm. 440 has a mild cam
and the rear diff has 3:55's.
Total weight with two
passengers is 3100 lbs.
1-2 shift is strong at about
25-30 mph, but the 2-3
shift is wanting 45-50 mph.
it does shift before then but
you have to lift the pedal
slightly, and the shift is
soft.
Thanks in advance for
your input.
