Turn signal harness question

[70 SUPERBIRD]

My Superbird turn signals quit working. Traced it down to the flasher and found this harness attached to it.
Was this put on at the factory? It is isn’t shown in the wiring schematic.
Also did the 4 way flasher use this harness also?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Good question. I replaced my OEM 70 rally dash road runner wiring with aftermarket. My OEM wiring has that inline fuse in the turn signal flasher only (not on the emergency flasher). I plan to move it over to my aftermarket wiring soon
