I have a '69 Charger and i'm having trouble with my lights. My turn signals work correctly on the front of the car, but on the taillights both will flash when the turn signal is engaged in either direction. Also, my hazards only work when the turn signal is engaged. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Bad grounds would be my #1 troubleshoot. I have had taillight socket, and engine bay harness grounds near the radiator support both mess with flasher units.

When you have a bad ground on a dual filament bulb, one circuit will often work as it uses the other filament's circuit path to find a ground. Electricity is lazy and looks for the path of least resistance. The use of a secondary ground path creates all kinds of unusual effects. You can easily check your tail lights by giving the socket a direct ground to the neg battery terminal. Use a long wire with an alligator clip and attach to the socket (move it around a little so the teeth get into clean metal). Pull your other tail light bulbs so you don't get a second ground path) or daisy chain all you tail lights to your new alligator clip ground wire in the same fashion. Secure the other end of the wire to the Neg battery and try the lights again. If all works well now, you know you have a ground problem. Good luck

Ground problem, and replace both flashers with the napa solid state one.
