Just converted over to a custom instrument panel and everything is working fine except my drivers side turn signal indicator comes on solid when the lights are on, be it in the running lights position or headlights position. All lighting on the new panel is LED. When the light switch is off, turning signals, emergency signals, brake, license, backup all work fine. I am using electronic flashers and all the wiring in my 72 Plymouth is still original or at lease what I have not replaced. Is it possible I have a bleed through problem? Maybe I might be dealing with a problem that was there when I first got the car however I never noticed anything amiss.

Expert comments and even wild *** guesses are appreciated.

Oh, all lighting except the headlamps are LED if that matters.

You might check if the signal bulbs and socket disc to make sure the contacts align properly.

All sockets in the tail were replaced along with the wiring. Side markers and fender signals were shaved but the front sockets are still original so I'll take a closer look. Appreciate the suggestion. BTW did you have a similar problem and did you found it was an alignment problem?

I was having a similar problem with a stock setup. Problem was the front turn/parking light housing was not properly grounding. I just removed some of the paint on the valance to get a better ground and the problem went away.

Good Luck.

Problem has been solved however I don't know which of the two changes I made did the trick. Removed the bulb but it didn't feel right coming out so I reseated it then I cleaned up the ground surfaces and it worked properly. My guess it was reseating the bulb but I know poor grounds can do funny things. Either way I appreciate you help.

See my solution. I think your diagnosis was correct.
