Well, I finally found one that's worth the watch, in spades.
It's on Acorn TV which is British TV. It's called " In the Line of Duty". It's set in Northern Ireland and it's a police drama involving the cases of a Anticorruption squad. AC-12. Think Internal affairs. It is the best police show since Hill Street Blues, hands down. I'm talking edge of your damn seat nail biting thrillers, cant get the next episode up on the screen fast enough.
Not a bad thing to say about it except it took a full season to get the hang of the accents so we could understand everything! Used the closed captioning for awhile. Just finished Season 3 and it was "shouting at the TV" good, right up to the last freaking minute! Wow what a show. I cant recommend it enough. Try it!

Hmmm....
It has to be better than these American shows that seemed to be compelled by law to include every ethnicity, every freak, the token gay person, etc...

the TV at my house has been off for months now
best move ever...

All the best tv so far is British. The Coroner, Sherlock, even Fawltey...
Not that all American TV sucks, only the new stuff. China Beach, Tour of Duty, good stuff.
And before the trolls can jump in: I’m from Canada. Canadian TV sucks. But so does American.

I really liked The Walking Dead from the start. After the departure of Rick Grimes was announced, my interest dropped in half. I barely care anymore.

I like several UK shows that i watch on pbs (I can NOT believe I am admitting to watching pbs!). I do have to have the closed captions on, to translate British English to American English. Crappy hearing doesn't help.

Did you see what happened to Jake from State Farm?

ACORN TV is worthwhile to access. We have watched several series on there that are more like what American TV used to be like. Great shows and actors who really step up.

yellowstone, and streaming Bone Collector with Micheal Waddell. Love my hunting shows

I watched a few episodes of "Endeavor".

Period (1969) British detective show.

Classic British cars, and the first episode I watched featured a Gerry Anderson style sci-fi puppet production and a British take on the events of the mood landing.

In The Line Of Duty is a modern crime drama, 2013-2018. Each "season" is five episodes of the same core people in this unit going after bent coppers. There's also a central thread throughout that hooks them all together. Very addictive..

I subscribe to Acorn TV with my Comcast cable.
Got hooked on watching Line of Duty.
That's a very good show, i would recommend it also.
The Brits have some pretty good programs, lots better than the crap that's on our American TV channels.
But I'm only on season 1, and will watch episode 5 tonight.
Viewed a few "trailers" of the seasons episodes, and will watch them in order.

The Australians have some good programs too, that are shown on Acorn TV, and Brit Box, and a series that i liked watching on Public Broadcasting, called The Dr. Blake Mysteries.
