You referring to the eccentric ? That's how you adjust the alignment.

Looks like you're missing the metal insert that goes inside of the bushing....it's also made with that washer you are talking about. The insert and washer are one piece. The insert is maybe 3/8ths to 1/2" long and there is one on each side of the rubber. They mount on the bolt.....

And, found your noise!
If it helps, once you get new bushing in the arm, when you install the nuts/bolts, do not tighten them, until the weight of the car is on the wheels. Like that, you don't put the bushing itself, in a bind.

Yes I feel better,i don't know how i missed that very in-portent part, don't let me work on you car ever. the prof is in that pic.

Any tips on sliding that arm back in,from what i remember last time it was a tight fit 1 would think it would slide in with little effort.waiting for the bushing to come in than back in it goes .

Don, after I installed my new bushings I used a rubber mallot to help get in place. It is a tight fit.

Got the bushing in at 930 and all is back together NO NOISE WA WHO.I can tell ya will not make that mistake again.

Hey, we all do dumb things from time to time. I keep opening my mouth when I shouldn't lol. What has worked for me over the years doesn't seem to ever work for others or my ideas are thought to be dumb, so.....back to my corner :(

The great thing problem solved car good to go and having help like this makes it easier to handle.
