Has anyone seen this so-called car show?
We've just started getting it shown here in the U.K and I've gotta say it's the most cringeworthy but hilarious show I've ever seen.
It's about 2 guys from Texas who head out to places such as Mexico, Brazil etc to find and buy rare classics to take back to their garage in Texas and sell on.
In the 1st episode they got fleeced out of $30,000 and hired an ex military guy to try and find/get back the stolen funds, which coincidentally out of the millions of people in Mexico he successfully did. Bravo and what a guy.
So they decided to hire this guy on a full time basis to take with them whenever they went to look at a car so they didn't get robbed or fleeced again.
This is where it gets funny. This ex military guy believes he's still behind enemy lines and treats everybody as a potential threat. Ok I can understand that, but last nights show was just the best. They arrange to meet this guy who has a one off hand built aluminium bodied roadster that he's looking to sell.
As they arrive military guy tells them to wait in the car whilst he scouts out the place for potential threats, there's one poor s.o.b working in the garage where the cars located and he happens to have a wrench in his had. No biggie the dudes working in a garage. Military dude with one arm out aproaches him and tells him to drop the wrench. WTF says the guy and puts down his wrench. Threat averted the 2guys get out the car and come to inspect the vehicle. Whilst there checking it over military guy is giving wrench holding guy the evil eye, to which wrench holding guy who works in this garage says "why are you looking at me dude."
That's it military guy snaps runs over and decks wrench holding guy. Subsequently the deal was canceled no cars where bought or sold and all were escorted out of the garage.
I spent the next 20 minutes crying with laughter.
Next weeks episode States that military guy has since been given the sack and is no longer working for them. REALLY no kidding.
I know this is just for T.V and is heavily fabricated but I pissed myself watching it. Dunno if I want to watch next weeks episode now if military guys not in it. He's a legend.

Sounds insanely scripted -So they decided to hire this guy on a full time basis to take with them whenever they went to look at a car so they didn't get robbed or fleeced again.

It's like anything else. They make a "reality" show then one network after another spends stupid money and time trying to one-up the last network or show until the idea is ruined. Then they find another subject, and repeat.

I managed to stomach one episode of this silliness. These guys are going into what are touted as the "most dangerous" neighborhoods to find these cars, and trying to be stealth about it. So, I wonder if they can explain the helicopter for the overhead shots? Does no one on the ground wonder WTF is going on with a chopper overhead?

More scripted, dumbass drama. Television these days is a true wasteland of crap. To paraphrase a lyric from Pink Floyd - "I got thirteen (thousand) channels of $h!# on the TV to choose from..."

Off to the shop, where I have plenty of personal drama going!

I watched a couple episode, I didn't really car for it...

I wouldn't go some of the places they went without an armed convoy either...
