posting this for my brother, car is in New Jersey right now
Up for sale is my 1966 Plymouth Satellite. I’m the 3rd owner of this original Southern AZ mopar. Car was featured in the October 09 issue of Mopar Muscle magazine’s rare finds section. http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/.../mopp_0910_1966_plymouth_satellite/index.html
Rare Muave Lilac color highly optioned big block car. It has the original interior including the headliner and carpet in surprisingly great condition. Has the original certicard and warranty card, full shop engine and body manuals which are quite rare. Car was parked since 1980 on a farm near Coolidge,AZ absolutely zero rust anywhere! Original but faded paint. Very straight body, bumpers are tweaked though. When I bought the car it was missing the 361 engine and 727 trans. I installed the following while trying to keep a very period correct looking street race car spec. Can be run in NHRA Nostaglia S/S class. But needs cage to run full ¼ mile, otherwise limited to 1/8 mile.
500 Stroker wedge block, Indy Heads full port match by Dean Turk, Braiswell 950 custom carb, Forged rotating group, full roller! ADS tuned on dyno (engine & cam specs available) 530hp/470tq @rear wheels.
2in. TTI headers into 3inch pipes with electric cutouts
727 trans with CRS reverse valve body. 3800 converter
Hurst Pro-matic shifter
3.5 in aluminum drive shaft from Mesa Driveshaft, 1350 yokes
489 cased rear, 4:10 gears Moser axles built by Daryl Smith race cars
QA1 shocks fully adjustable all around.
New Optima red top battery w/billet tie down located in trunk with rear disconnect.
Super Stock springs, welded subframe connectors
Wilwood 11 in disc brakes in front, with master cylinder
Cragar wheels 15x 4 in front with Silvertown 6.40 tires 15 x 10 in rear with M/T ET street slicks.
Dash mounted gauges from SS&AFX
Sumped gas tank, -10 fuel lines, Holley electric fuel pump
This is a very interesting un-restored, rust free, straight old school Hot rod. Not for the faint of heart. Requires a special type of owner.
Car can be seen by appointment up on lift @ Drew’s Garage in Tempe
