After a lot of research and trips to the auto parts store I found the perfect upper radiator hose for my 63 using the original style rad with the outlet on the drivers side and a BB. The hose is made by Dayco and the number is 70369 and it fits perfect. Right length, right bends and correct diameter and is actually for a non-ac 68 Charger. Hope this info helps someone...

Yep, should be perfect!

I feel your pain and am glad you were able to find what you needed. I have also been on the hunt for quite some time for my `66 Belvedere, Poly 318 with Dealer installed A/C (old square 'York' compressor). Using paper towel rolls and painters tape I have mocked up a hose that will properly snake around the compressor. Carrying it into various parts stores I get funny looks from the younger folks, but the older ones know exactly what I'm dealing with and just let me in the back to try and match it up to something hanging on the wall. No luck yet and I am running out of parts houses. I would use one of those stainless jobs that can be 'shaped', but it just wouldn't go with all the stock decor. I may end up piecing it with a sleeve.

It's help like this that keeps others from having to fight the same battle. Thanks for sharing, Red63440.

Is that for a 22 inch rad with the outlet just offset from the filler neck toward the driver's side?

Yes it is....I will get a photo of it shortly and post it. If you look at the photo of the hose, the end at the top would go on the water pump.

Here are two photos of the hose on the engine....fits perfect! The radiator is the factory 22" unit and will be replaced with a new Champion aluminum radiator once I run some engine flush through the system.

thats the same part# hose i have on my 65 coronet it fits really good.

When I put the 383 in my 67 (had a 318) i told the guy at my local auto parts store what i was doing and took the original hose and pointed out the differences. He actually spent a couple days on it and got me both upper and lower. Sticking with my original radiator. Had it recored with 3 rows. Works great. I'll get the numbers and post them later.

Outstanding! Any word on the lower big block hose?

Thanks Red,
Im ordering it today or Saturday.
PS: Question of the Fall Quater: "I wonder if my 63 Polara will be done before Christmas?"
(Paint job that is...)

Just a FYI, I ordered mine from Rock Auto and it was still $5.00 cheaper than Advanced even with the added shipping. Advanced wanted over $17.00 plus tax for the hose.

I would recommend that you got to the Rock Auto web site. You can actually see the hoses and the shapes. From there you should be able to pick out your hose. I bought mine from NAPA and the number is 7648. What I did notice is that the long oil filter hits the hose so if anyone has the number for a lower hose that doesn't contact the lower hose please pass it on.

That's the same issue I have with my lower hose. The filter touches it.

Using the short filter or relocating the filter would solve the problem. I will have to check my aluminum radiator and see where the outlet is.

Checked the new radiator and the bottom connection is as far over as it can get which will give the hose about 4" of clearance.

Sweet. Ordered me one up to get rid of the corrugated rubber flex piece.
