Anyone use this shop? They're located in Durham, NC and sell products on ebay and at various mopar shows. I saw them @ the show in Julian, NC and they had a shell on a rotisserie (which they sel) and several of their stiffening products installed.

Just wondered if anyone had any first hand knowledge of the work they do.

I purchased a set of torque boxes and a core support stiffener for my '71 Runner from them recently. Good customer service on the phone, fast shipping and nice quality parts. I mocked them up and they fit good. I would recommend their stuff.

Got subframe connectors from them. The best. Good price, no delay or problems.

I read a few threads that people have had good luck with the stuff... Personally I've never had any dealing with the company, or John Pasemann owner of US CAR TOOLS, but that thread over on Moparts {link above, is all over the damn place, in their opinions/pissing contests, I remember why, I never go on there} & the subsequent Google search, after reading some of the comments on that link, IMHFO would make me really think twice, about dealing with that company now or anytime in the future... you can't change a zebra's stripes

A lot of us members in the 66-67 Charger community got stiffed for tooling down payment...

just sayin'

I've purchased a set of Frame Connectors from them, got them shipped to me very quickly ( I live near Charlotte NC, only about 150 miles from Durham NC ), and I've got them installed in my Belvedere already. The fit, was not too bad - I'd chalk it up to my first time installing floor pans in a car and the part in the rear seating floor area seemed to be a bit lower than it should have been - but I adjusted the fit and got them all welded in place.

Was not aware of the stuff that was on the link - pretty scary stuff - probably would have not ordered had I read all that stuff first. But I just ordered a couple parts, and it went smoothly.

That's my $0.02 . . . for whatever it's worth to you . . . ( grin )

Have had very good luck with US Car and Tool

I have ordered frame connectors, torque boxes and inner fender supports. These were ordered on three different occasions and I had very good customer service and results all three times, so I guess it depends on the circumstances.

I have ordered a few things from them with no complaints & they answered all my questions on installations. Their frame connectors are the best.

I used their torque boxes on my Charger. Well made stuff and fast shipping.

Thanks for all the replies about parts that were ordered. What about thier restoration services? Anyone had a car worked on there?

I bought a set of frame connectors for my 64 Belvedere, shipped to me very quick, and they fit the car with very nicely.

I read that entire twisted, back and forth name calling thread...

And to be honest I don't know what to think. I'm a member over on Moparts but I never post in the General Section, it seems to be full of sharks just waiting for the first drop of blood to hit the water. I hate to say it but sometimes I think the Mopar community loves to cut off it's own nose to spite it's face. Forums are all over the internet are chock full of people bashing nearly every vendor in existence for one thing or another. People are upset that vendors don't make the parts they need, and then when they do... they bash the vendor if it doesn't install itself.

I had a large Mopar vendor charge me $135 dollars to next day ship a $25 part about ten years ago. The shipping was much higher than they quoted... and to add insult to injury, they failed make the shipping cutoff that day... right before a holiday weekend. So I paid that money for 4 day shipping. When I called them on it they basically told me to pound sand.

I feel for the guy who lost money, and IMO Us Car Tool's response is a little weak. I've never ordered anything from them but I have emailed them several questions... and have found them to be prompt and polite. In the future I intend to order all my chassis stiffening parts from them.

If you google search XV Motorsports... you won't find much better reviews.

I'm on a few Mopar boards and well, seems like it's Moparts that has the most drama and it goes way way back. I've never bought anything from that company but have heard more positive than negative about them.....that is unless you go to Moparts. I'm also one that doesn't go there much anymore if at all.
