I am building a 383 for my roadrunner. We put a cam kit in a 440 and ran it for maybe 200 miles then lost compression on number one due to the edge of exhaust valve chipping off. My question is would it be ok to run that cam and lifters in the 383 along as I keep everything in order.

Should be fine the timing set should be good as well. Make sure to check the TDC and cam centerline when putting the motor together. Easy to do before you put heads on it.

With just 200 miles, it's probably ok either way but I would reinstall the lifters and pushrods on the exact same cam lobes they came off of

I don’t think 440 and 383 pushrods are interchangeable. Low deck block vs high deck

should be good to go
I do not like that cam in a mopar but try it
It's a 1977 chevy special
advance or retard if not what you are expecting
then if you have to change you know which way to move
