or even a homemade sheetmetal intake from a project.

got a truck project im trying to put together for an older fella in town.
hes handicapped and cant get into cars/too low.
truck is a 80-s shortbed v6 auto,dead motor/trans.
and he has a parts donor v6 5 speed truck,but thats a 93 fuelie
hes stuck on carbs.....any help would be appreciated.

You might be able to find a 2bbl carb that fits.
You will need an electric fuel pump as well.
An LA intake will not work, the intake bolts on differently.

hmm so getting a 87 2bbl intake wont work then.
good to know ty sir.
wish this guy would just let me v8 it,would be so much easier......

I have some parts yet from a 93 3.9L. Exhaust manifolds, valve covers and perhaps a couple other things.
They are in great condition, just let me know if you can use them. I did a V8 swap on my truck a few years ago.
You should explain that it will run better with the EFI than with a carb.
I've had both.
Oh and you would need to change the distributor and install an ignition box if you were to not use the computer from the 93, the distributor has no advance built into it. Yes when you start going down this route, you might as well find a complete LA carbed 318. But I'd rather have a 5.2 magnum any day.
Again I've had both.
