Valve cover Gaskets & Max Wedge exhaust manifolds.

Hello,

I am having issues with my valve cover gaskets perishing or burning (cork) due too proximity to the max wedge exhaust manifolds. I run Edelbrock heads and Mopar Performance rocker covers.

I was thinking of Cometic Silicone gaskets. Or a mate has suggested making my own by running a bead of hi temp silicone around them, let it cure and bolt on.

Interested in others experience. I saw some OEM exhaust gaskets used on police cars that have a heat shield built in. They were on ebay. Looked interesting.

Any advice would be appreciated.
