Vegas and more

I was out in Vegas and caught the last day of SEMA. Took a road trip to OATMAN AZ. Garmin gave me the most direct route, to bad I could only do 10 MPH cause the roads were so bad. Then coming back to Vegas I stumble across the tail end of an all AMC show at RAILROAD PASS. I used to seeing AMC's around here, but out west was something very unexpected.

some very nice photos ,a lot of nice cars and a lot of nice mopars never cared for the huge wheels on cars thanks did you get a chance to go in any of the old mines

Looks like a great time!

As is STANDARD, your GPS screwed you into taking the dirt road arriving from the west. There is a asphalt road from the west, just not as direct as the dirt road.

Best way to see Oatman is from Kingman AZ RT 66 alignment to Sitgreaves pass. All asphalt in decent shape, very narrow twisty road.

Last time in Oatman a donkey licked the bugs off of the front of the Coronet. It really needed it.

I never actually went into any mines. But I would if I had the chance. I was in the Eldorado canyon mine a few years back.

Y a GPS gave me the shortest route, but it took forever . great landscape tho!

Nice Vega. Anybody going to Van Nuys in April? Then, on to Vegas for MATS. Route 66 an obvious choice. Maybe overnight in Laughlin for $29. Boat rides and beer.
