Anybody any idea what this thing is ? I pulled it of from my 1973 charger, hanging underneath the body right in the middle, somewhere around the backseat. It looks like a vibration damper for the body of the car. What function does it have ?

Looks like a pinion snubber landing minus an attachment, a body floor stiffener, drive shaft guard or it held a drive shaft loop. Just exactly where did you remove it from specifically?

LOL. I don't think we should ask Arnold what it is but perhaps 007 knows ... it certainly looks like some kind of movie gadget. And if they don't know, why should I care ? :)
At least, getting ride of it will save me about 5 kg of weight on my car.

My 73 Charger still has this attached. Chrysler was about noise reduction and vibrations, for the drive shaft. The drive shaft also has rubber inside I read.
