FINALLY got out to test, 3 hits total in my '68 B body Valiant. Knowing I'd have more power, (and it's almost 50# lighter for now) I was cautious to go back thru mainly the bumpsteer. I must have figured the problem because on my first hit it kept walking the front higher until i decided to lift but IT WAS STRAIGHT (on two wheels anyway). 1.22 60ft footbraking. After it settled and all seemed well, i brought it back to over 100 mph and everything was tracking good (Runs true on all 4 wheels!). My buddy/helper Jerry and I went over the car and all was good. I put the front shocks full tight and the next pass went extremely well, I even remembered to record data. 1.21 60ft footbraking again and I'm not sure I didn't soft peddle (sissy) at the hit. I shifted it at 6800ish (low) but in all it was a clean pass. I ran it to about 1200 feet and it was stable but, the track only was printing 660ft. 1.21/3.5?/5.47? @ 125.2 The data showed one bank at 13.8 AF and the other at 13.2. So before the next pass I threw the 4 bank jets one size and after looking over things again, made another hit. I pushed the beams and immediately shifted ...it was a poor run but it was a good day. We loaded up and left not even collecting the ticket. I'm now trying to make it next week to our monthly race but it'll need the smaller tires and a gear change among other things. Wish me luck!
