I am a bit new to VIN plates on the 67's so maybe this is the norm but does this plate look wrong to any of you? It seems to be missing the engine letter and does not match the Certicard, any ideas?

What you are showing is the fender tag and Certicard; not the VIN tag.

The Certicard has some of the same info as the tag (Exterior color-TT1, interior-S6X, transmission T5 vs 5, axle SA vs A/4) plus the VIN number, which is not on the fender tag. The engine is coded in the VIN number (H) and 62 on the fender tag.

As 69coronetrt states...

BTW: In my opinion, 69coronetrt is far more knowledgeable than MANY on this topic.

Thanks 69coronetrt much appreciated I managed to get it all decoded now and it looks spot on, time to purchase now :)

Just a comment...you have the R2 option, which is the Astrophonic radio, not so often chosen option...but I have it too! I was lucky enough to find one on Ebay and I could repair it.:VB toast:

The 1966, 1967, and 1968 cars do NOT show the VIN on the fender tag. That started with the 1969MY cars. Your axle being SA on the CertiCard means you have a non-Sure Grip rear end (vs. SG).

What do you guys think of this collection from a very lovely 1967 Charger? I am trying to get better photos but this is all I have at the moment, I just think they are poor photos and not like he is trying to hide anything but I'd love your opinion and any cool info like an R2 option which I had never heard of, love this forum!

All these photos have been sent to me by the owner from the same Gold Resto Mod 1967 Charger (really nice resto, no expense spared) but I am a bit cautious of the paperwork as I am not sure what this is all telling me. We have since discovered that he is not the title holder and it is still in the previous owners name from Maryland, he says that it is normal for a Vintage car in Connecticut to not have the title changed over. He seems a very nice bloke and seems honest so maybe its just 50 years of paperwork transfers, I have given my word to purchase as I really love the car but no money has changed hands yet, hopefully it is nothing but any help/advice that you can give would be much appreciated.

All sorted, he mixed up a card with an other Charger that he used to have, got new photos and everything checks out, sadly no Astrophonic radio Radio this time though.

.....but looks like a factory sure-grip axle.

383 4 barrel, A/C, sure grip.

NICE.

Good color for that, as well.
