I am finally going to redo my 63 Polara 500 Convert for the 2nd & finial time since I purchased new as I am 71years.
Has anyone water blasted their car inside & out. Some comments are it is very hard to get the dried glass out of interior doors fender wells etc.
Hard is ok, impossible is not. Thanks in advance Don 800-643-9523 or cell 479-857-4621 I like to talk rather than type.

I disagree...
I just had my 63 Dodge Polara media blasted with chruhed "bottle-glass"
Soda is a good media BUT it does leave a residue.

You need to research this instead of asking our opinions...

i use Cal-blast out here in Socal, the residue if very minimal, and it dose act as a mild anti corrosive for a short time. gonna sent my 65 post over in a few weeks.

Ice blasting is another alternative, I tested the process in an industrial setting and it works very well with no mess.

Craven Moorhead? Phil McCrakin here. Nice to meet you!
He's Richard Cranium's brother! :D

I'm 63 and am having doubts about getting my 'last project' together.....

I glass blasted my 66' Dart, and it came out great. Even the underside of the hood and trunk lid. The water keeps the blasting cool, so no warping. It was no trouble rinsing out the glass residue. The guy then sprayed a treatment on the blasted area, and 30 days later we prepped for paint. No flash rust after 30 days. Soda blasts at a higher temperature, which is why painters don't like it. I lost a good hood by soda blasting, never again. When the water drys on the floor, you simply sweep up the glass powder residue. next time I'm taking my whole car in, as it will save a huge amount of labor in the body shop. Time is money!

Hi... I glass water blasted my 63 polara 500 over the weekend... Turned out great! I attached before and after photos... the blasting took 7 hours, and 20 bags of glass! It only took about 3 hours to clean up the mess!!
