Anyone know what pulley I need for my engine. My 383 has a aluminum water pump and aparently it sticks out farther than the original, so I need a pulley with more backset to get both my pulley belt blt runs to line up with the crank pulley. Right now just the rearward grove lines up the front is to far forward to be useful. Thanks

I have several water pump pulleys but like Satellite said, a pic of what you have now would help.....

Pic up now. Only look at the water pump pulley, it has to go towards the engine one grove, approx 3/4 inch maybe to align the two groves with the crank pulley, just looking to get the correct pulley with the right backset to run both belts, part number etc. Hope that makes it simpler, thanks. There is plenty of space to set it back farther without rubbing the pump casing.

I think your w/p pulley is for an a/c car and the lower pulley is for a non- a/c car. Your top pulley should look like this:

Couldn't you use a crank pulley spacer? Think they have them from 1/4 and up. I also had a two grove alt pulley. But I wasn't using stock pulleys.

I have several single groove pump pulleys....just need a measurement from the face to the center of the groove if you're interested in a stock pully.

I have the same problem, I can't find a water pump pulley that reaches far enough back to line up the alternator, water pump and crank pulleys.
