In my other post I was looking to see if there were other carbs I could use in place of the original Carter WCFB. They were serial numbers 2631S and 2632S. My question is how are these carbs marked? I know some or most have a tag that is removable. Are there any other markings? I'm asking because I'm headed to Carlisle this coming weekend and want to keep my eye out for them. Thanks!

Anyone else going to Carlisle?

The different parts of the carb body should have casting numbers on them you can look up also to identify what they are. The air horn or upper part will have a casting number on the top and the lower throttle body will have a indentify cating number as well I believe on the back of the carb. I never could or had any luck identify the base plate. I had one for a 57 2x4 283 corvette set up once. Just do a seach on carter WCFB indentifcation. Hope this help you.
