A very good friend with a wealth of knowledge he never hesitated to share. The racing community truly lost a legend this morning.

Some of you who have bought parts from me on here know I have packaged them at Joe's shop, and that his shop is where all my engine work gets done. Prayers out to his family and employees, and a huge THANK YOU to Joe for touching my life and the knowledge you have imparted on us "younger guys". RIP Joe.

Oh man, that is too bad. I always found his story very interesting. His legend will live on through all the people he taught.

Also about ten years ago I had a 1970 Cutlass with a Modello 455... that was hands down the best engine I've ever had. Probably still running out there somewhere too...

Wow that's some impressive list of accomplishments in our field. RIP.

thats to bad a true legend he will be missed.

"Mondello makes Horsepower, Not Promises"

One of the Industrys greatest....RIP Mr Mondello

Truly sad news. Talked to him some 20 years ago when I was building a 69 Cutlass. Joe made horsepower. RIP.

WOW! This is indeed a great loss. I was at the Bakersfield reunion a few months ago and he was in the tower telling some stories about the altereds. Seems like yesterday. RIP Joe.
