Weiand tunnel ram question

Do the tops of them interchange. I have a dual quad top from a small block chevie. Will it work on a 440 bottom. Both are Weiand.

Looks like the center to center carburetor measurements are the same on BIG block Chevys, but not the small blocks. Guess you could always call Weiand.

Don't know....never tried that. I have a Weiand base for a B engine that I could measure if you'll supply the measurements for the Chebby one.

as long as it is the same series,then yes.center gaskets are the same series to series.bottoms change to fit the diff motors.

What ya mean by "same series'?

they have changed there designs a few times over the years,so manifolds of the same years will swap,but not after design change years.i dont have a break down of the years,but i have seen the diff manifolds that wont swap pieces.(even for the same motor)

Better yet, if you take a piece of paper and make a pencil etching of the runner surface of the top, scan it and send it to Cranky. Then there's no question if it will fit or not... AFTER YOU'RE WELL!!!

Weiand top

Oh I feel pretty good. Little sore. Peeing all over the place. My friends have started calling me dribble...I got to tell ya that first 36 hours was rough. I felt like I had been run over by a truck. Anyway I slowly walked back into the shop & took some pic's. The deal is a local guy has a bottom for a 440 for sale & I have this top. It would look cool on my C body rat rod I'm gathering parts for. The 8 & 3/4 measurment is the center to center. The other is the edge of flange to oppisite edge. A tunnel ram sticking throught the hood of the old nasty Newport would be cool. Scare the camaro's & Mustangs...LOL
