Hello all,

Got a question - I am putting the back end of my '68 Coronet together and find it is missing a couple of brackets (for want of a better term). These bolt to the bottom rear end of the rear frame rails, and are "D" shaped. I don't see that anything else bolts to these, but can't figure out what function they serve. Mine are missing, but I've seen them on other B bodies.

Could it be these were used for tie-down/transportation purposes? Or something else? If anybody can shed some light on what these are and what purpose they serve I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

EngineerDoug,

I believe your hunch of shipping tie down points is correct. Sometimes they were removed for re-use. You got extra parts!
