extra 1/2 leaf on the bottom ..is that normal or is it to add stiffness or height ??

I can't see the pic very well but my 68 GTX had an extra half leaf on one side from the factory. Then I bought the add a leaf set from Summit for an extra 2 inches of height to fit my tires

With as many Dodges and Plymouths that had these waaaay long ago, you'd think they were a factory thing. They were not.
JC Whitney, Pep Boys, Auto Zone....These cheapie booster/helper springs were often found on the shelves of these stores for years. Please remove them and give them to a Ford guy.
