Just picked up a 77 Dodge Monaco. White. U code engine. I see a rear sway bar on the back of it and dual exhaust. It has been sitting in a garage for the last 30 years. Carburetor is off of it. I’m not sure if I have the original carburetor or not. There are parts in the trunk.just picked it up yesterday so I haven’t looked at it yet. The body has literally next to zero rust on it. All the parts are there, but it does need a going through.

It's a 440 Car BUT with out pictures anything could have been put in it's place over the years... Post the carb #.

Post hello from new member in the welcome wagon with pictures. This forum is for general discussion. You will get more results in the welcome wagon. There is also a forum specifically for your car.

Is there "A38" on the fender tag?

Edit:
There might be two or three metal tags and they will most likely be attached to the radiator support and in front of the battery...similar to this:

If it's a former police car, then you might be interested in this thread:

I’ve known the family in the car my entire life. It is a 440 magnum hypo. Little bit late this evening, but I’ll get some pictures of it. Still on the trailer.

from my understanding. The car was ordered by the local county police and for some reason they did not purchase this one so my buddies dad bought it. I will look for the badge tomorrow. But I’m pretty sure it is.

Welcome to FBBO, maybe go over to the welcome wagon
& do a proper Introduction
maybe share a few photos of said car 77 Monaco, 440/727

I'm going to speculate the first seven characters in the VIN are WK41U7A:

W: Dodge Monaco
K: Police
41: 4 door sedan
U: 440-4V
7: 1977
A: Lynch Road, MI USA
