I have the option on the table to switch my bike heads up for this car, The real honest value of my bike is 12-13k . The car is suppossed to run 10.8s on slick but that kinda doesn't make sense to me. The engine is a 400 based 451 stroker with iron ported heads, Mopar purple cam, 14-1 compression. Seems like a cheap basic combo to me, also the suspension is all stock with a built Dana 60. The other thing that makes no sense to me is how both the current owner and the builder swear that the car pulls the front tires on the street while on small radial street tires...... Maybe the suspension is just super worn out and weight transfers ?? In any case what do you guys think? Does it seem realistic it's running 10s and how bout the engine combo? . . . As you can tell by my charger I always like building things with the best of the best components and I feel like this guy just spent the least possible money to go fast . This is the car :

I also think 17k is very unrealistic for the car but how bout the trade for my bike?

Car looks nice enough but NO WAY it runs 10's. Pulls the wheels on the street with Radial T/A's, ya right. I'll bet it might go in the 12's, maybe.

Yes ! Thank you . . We know what it takes to go 10s and I get it that it's probably 500lbs lighter than my car, but no suspension work and a very basic stroker with sky high compression just doesn't seem like it'll run the time to me

Ehh, just doesn't add up for me. Looks like a nice car probaly more in the 12-13k range for me. 451 stroker is a good strong motor but no way to tell it runs 10's without knowing details, hard to believe it does with a purple cam and IRon heads but it is possible. Id ask to see the paperwork for the engine build and machine work, also the trans, stock 727 is very strong but when you get into the 10's you need better than stock IMO.

Beak cars get no love..
you are really just buying a drive train and
when you buy a used drive train
rule of thumb most of the time is to pay pennies on the dollar..

I totally agree with every single comment above, so I'm going to pass on it. Too many things just don't make sense, I can't see it running the times and everything just seems like you was done the cheapest way possible. Plus I love dusters and demons but really dislike the style of this car

There are many hints just from the pics that this car has definitely been on a track. Ask to see time slips, dyno slips,
does it have Cert (valid) and paperwork from the engine builder. This car may just fool you, but 10's? - there's more $$ in that motor than you think, if it's REALLY a 14.5 compression.
And of course there's that air cleaner -

He has no paper work on the car at all.. the only money I see in the motor is head work and the rotating assembly.

I don't know it looks pretty decent might want to look in to it a little more drive it! I'd trade mostly because I'm not aloud to have a bike any more

Yeah and I'm kinda stuck because he's 8hrs away so we would ship. Would pretty much be trading site / driving unseen

I feel like it's old school. Now we have allot of great heads and roller cams and stuff. This is just high high compression, solid cam, head work

Correct 496, walk if no validation. anybody can put a fuel cell in and say it's a race car. The valley pan and fabbed valve covers may be hiding some really good stuff. But without pedigree - nothing

I think the car's value is a little less than your bike but from the pics, it looks like a decent race car. interior is just about all there but it all looks a little rough. And ya gotta love toggle switches right through the dash Wouldn't it have just been easier to mount a sheetmetal panel below the dash? Seems like the guy went out of his way to foul up that dash.

an iron head high cr motor is old school, and far from streetable.

looks like someone was on there way to building a nice car but stoped way short and threw it together for a quick sale.no suspention with that power would = no traction at all.i would pass for sure.
