Can someone please show me with a photo or an IPB what and where the "lower engine-to-transmission support struts" are? I'm looking under the car, between the engine and the transmission expecting a metal bracket holding together the engine to the transmission or something of the sort. It's something that's supposed to be removed prior to dropping the oil pan on a 360 engine but I skipped it because I don't know what the heck the manuals refer too.

I got a Haynes manual hoping I could find an IPB but no go.

I've seen them, right there as you describe, on a poly head 318, sounds like there are none in your application, so no issue I guess. HTH, Lefty71

More than likely they were removed already and never put back.... They go from the trans to the side of the block LH and RH.

On the LA engine they are a piece of angle steel, goes from a boss on the side of the block to the larger bolt bosses on the lower part of the "bellhousing" area of a 727. Sorry no pics. Don't recall if the 360 version is different than the 318-340 version, there is a left & right.

Yep. I have a bunch of them. 4 different ones. I thought was used on 904 and 727. Not sure about 4-spd.

Thanks guys. I do see some empty threaded holes around the areas described so I guess they were already removed.
