I am ready to drive the 240 miles to get this car.
Is it worth the $10K to $12K asking price?
Seller states it has been a race car since "day 1"
States: Car won it's class in 1969 NHRA (?) with a 383.
Original "DOUGS" fenderwall headers.
Car now has a 12 sec 440, auto trans set-up.
Car has "all original" interior. Lights and electrical work.
QUESTION?
Is this car, in the forums opinion "worth purchasing" ?
Something of value?
Thanks...

i guess its going to come down to how much of it has been hacked to go racing. i would want to see actual documentation of its racing history. if its as nice as it looks and without seeing any real pictures if its condition, i dont think 10k is bad at all

If it is in good solid shape and was not hacked then yeah, it is worth it. A 65 post car is quite desirable.

Yeah,
Im truly "on the fence" on this one.
One part of me is saying: "get it"
The other part is saying: "Do I really need another project ?"

Hell if I know from just one crappy picture. ...and it's a dang crappy one, too.

Ill help you work on it Mark! Ill even roll with you to pick it up. Sounds like a sweet car, and like Dick said, we all love post cars like that.

As already mentioned you really need to see some documentation or historical photos if the car's racing history is affecting the price. That being said, it appears to be in good condition and it's hard to beat a '65 post. I say get it so we can all live vicariously through your build. Oh yah, ditch them ugly-*** wheels too.

Looks cool to me

A complete 1965 Belvedere Post Coupe & Calif. car, running & driving, that runs 12's with a 440 as is, as long as it isn't a rust bucket, I say it should be worth $10-$12K easily, just in parts probably, it looks pretty much unmolested from that photo, I don't recognize the car, but that isn't a very good photo either, it looks to be a Beige color, do you have any other photos of suspension ??, engine, floor underneath or rear end ??, vin #'s & dataplate ?? etc.... It looks like it has an interior... I couldn't tell if it has license plates or not, Does it have a Calif. title ??, has it ever been registered in Calif. ??, especially if it was a race car from day one, that could be an issue, if you plan on making it a street/strip car, 47 years of reg. fees could be a problem, just a thought... But, I say go for it !! especially if it is, what is advertized...

where is the car located & what's the guys name ??, someone could know him or the car...

The car is located in Kingman AZ about 240 miles from Eddies AFB. I-40E past Laughlin NV (reads Cold Beer)
The guy is selling it for his brother (?) He said he sold 3 other Mopars for his brother.
So, I take it his brother is :
1. Elderly because he bought it brand new
2. Had "other" neat MOPARS
3. Potentially ill or not around anymore.
I'll find out more.
But it being a race car since day one sounds good...

Thanks 67satellite...

super_bee_ski Sorry none of that info sounds familiar to me... looks cool thou...
