What is this parts - 1970 gtx

Hi,

My bud is restoring (or should I say having restored) a premo survivor '70 gtx with a 440 in it.

It has been in multiple shops and he is now getting down to the last of the installation stage. He called me over tonight because I am one of the few mopar guys around..we live in ford/chebby ville..

The only thing I didn't recognize is the part I am posting.. I am an A body guy so I am not familial with all the pieces but what it looks like to me is an inner fender support..i looked at the fenders,.. and I don't see any connections.

What do you think ?

That is the inner fender for the driver side. Helps keep crap from getting flung into the hinge area. There is a rubber strip that goes on the edge of it to help seal against the contour of the fender.
