Just curious what this switch is? It's inside my steering column and is physically connected to the ignition lock cylinder. Has 2 red wires in the connector for the ignition switch that connects to 2 black wires. Just replaced my ignition switch and was curious about this switch. I ohmed it out and it's either open, or 400 ohms when pressed...seems a little excessive, but I don't know what it is, what it does, or how to get a new one if I need it. I've got a 1971 Dodge Charger SE 4 speed. Thanks y'all in advance!

Ignition key switch/sensor for the key in warning buzzer.

Ign key cylinder gets a lever what push that switch when key is inserted.

Not available new replacement but only NOS around. By now they are still easy to come by
