Hi Everyone,

I'm doing a 63 Fury and someone has installed what looks to be a foreign
master cylinder/power brake unit.
I'd like to replace this with an American made Duel M/C.

Since the engine has so little vacuum, I'd like to use a Non power assist
M/C. Anyone have an idea what to use or what would fit?

Thanks!

Chances of finding a replacement made in the USA that "looks" like a stock master cylinder are slim. Napa has rebuilt US manufactured stock single pot units PN NMC P40963 for about $60 and new units as well. However, I'm not sure the new units are manufactured here. If you've got disks on the front you can probably pick a unit from a later "A" body with disks.

Master Cylinder situation

What does the car have now?? Front discs and rear drums -- or 4 wheel crums -- those two systems, of course, use very different parts...

I have American made Master Cylinders for every application -- depending on what conversion was put on to your car naturally... Chrysler products through the metal age of Master Cylinders (to the end of the late "70s)
(before the "plastic" age) always used four mount holes -- whereas Gm and Ford were almost always 2.......

Best to call me -- I'll figure out what you have -- Craig -- 516 - 485 - 1935..........New York......

Now that's service.

one of these will work for manual drums.

Thanks guys,

The car has disks up front, drums in the rear. I guess I'll have to use a proportioning
valve also.

I'm not concerned about looks being all original or not, just something that works.

The M/C thats on there now has a very small reservoir and is on such an angle
it doesn't hold hardly any fluid. Also the pedal travel is too great.

I think the piston size is too small.

Thanks in advance for any ideas
