Hello there
I´m completely new into this -Many thanks that I must participate in this forum.
I have not bought me a Charger 1968 yet, but it´s a top wish on my list.

My buddy has one :icon_fU: - and he want me to ask what engine/motor mount he should buy for a 1968 Charger with a fresh 383cui/650 hp - He tells me that the ordinary you buy at the lokal speedshop, do not work more than a few seasons ???
- Which brand do you recommend for a strong engine and car like this.

Many greetings Tom -Denmark

Would go back with ordinary mount and add a torque strap to limit movement. Mine consist of a piece of chain from motor mount to frame bolt and ties to motor mount bracket bolt at engine tab. Has worked fine with no distructive effects. Other's will have different idea's for sure but this was the simplest and cheapest solution I could find.

Ummm - a chain ?? ..
... there must surely be a little more flashy way to do it - maybe with a gold chain ;-)
- It is a little strange that you can not get strong motor mounts to a 383 cui. when you can it to a 440 cui. ??

Thank for the post IQ52 thought that was possible. Stock mounts $5.00 worth of nuts and bolts a good drill bit and drill press and woow $160.00 motor mounts. I know what happening next time the engine comes out.

Alright IQ52
I will call Mancini Racing and ask them if it's the right Motor Mount for this Charger
Thanks again
Torden

Do not use Chinesium engine mounts without augmenting the driver side. Unless you want to buy a new radiator shortly thereafter.

Schumacher Interlockers have never failed in the 440. Smooth strong performance.
